Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how HookHero (the “Game”, “we”, “us”), operated by Rikon, collects, uses, and shares information when you play. By playing the Game, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account identifier. When you first open the Game we create an anonymous account ID via Firebase Authentication so your progress can be saved and synced. If you choose to create an account, we also store your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Game & save data. Your progress, scores, in-game currency, owned items, and settings (stored in Firebase Realtime Database) so they sync across your devices.
- Leaderboard data. Your scores, shown on leaderboards in association with your anonymous account ID.
- Advertising data. We show ads via Google AdMob, which may collect your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, and device information to serve and measure ads. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we request your consent first through Google’s User Messaging Platform.
- Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Game is used (sessions, level progress, feature/ad/purchase events) using app and device information.
- Purchases. In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. We receive confirmation of a purchase but not your payment-card details.
- Notifications. With your permission, we schedule local reminder notifications on your device.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
2. How we use information
- To provide and save your game progress and sync it across devices.
- To operate leaderboards and reward daily top players.
- To show and measure advertising, and to offer an ad-free option.
- To understand and improve the Game, and to provide support and prevent abuse.
3. How information is shared
We share information with service providers that help us run the Game: Google (Firebase Authentication, Firebase Realtime Database, Google AdMob, Google Analytics, and Google Play Billing). We do not sell your personal information. See the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses data.
4. Your choices and rights
- Ad personalization. In supported regions you can change your ad-consent choices at any time.
- Access & deletion. Request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing edenao12@gmail.com, or use the account deletion page; we use your account ID to locate it. You can also reset local progress in Settings → Reset Progress.
- Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data.
5. Children’s privacy
The Game is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Data retention & security
We keep your save and account data while your account is active; on a deletion request we remove your cloud data from our systems. We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access-controlled databases) to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We may update this Policy and will post the new version here with an updated date.
